LEARNING TO FLOURISH
At ISD, we recognise that positive emotions amplify our students’ capacity to learn, to solve problems, and to think creatively.
By supporting students to identify and engage their unique character strengths, by empowering them to connect their learning and their passions, we create a learning environment in which every student can flourish.

LEARNING FOR THE FUTURE
From the early elementary years right through to grade 12, ISD curricula support learners to develop curiosity, creativity, compassion, and a strong sense of resilience.
We are constantly looking for ways to develop the kinds of knowledge, skills, and aptitudes that are relevant to tomorrow’s world. These competencies will enable them to shape their own path and to make a positive and lasting impact on the world around them.

LEARNING TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE
While creativity and resilience will help prepare our students for what life throws at them, it is also important that they feel a sense of responsibility to do the right thing for humanity. Young people should develop an awareness of global issues, a keen sense of citizenship, and an appetite to effect positive and lasting change. Our belief at ISD is that every student, no matter their age, has the potential to use their learning to make an impact today.
WHAT SETS ISD APART?
ISD is a school with a dedication to contribute, a willingness to question, and a mission to foster global-mindedness within our community and beyond. |

ISD RESULTS AND GRADUATES' ACHIEVEMENTS
ISD has taught us to be resilient by teaching us how we can learn to learn. Lifelong learners: that is what ISD wanted us to become. And I daresay we have become just that. ISD has instilled in us a love for learning and a drive to continue learning throughout our lives.

MORE THAN 50 YEARS' EXPERIENCE
At ISD we have been educating world citizens for more than 50 years.
We have a proud tradition of providing an innovative, holistic education so that all students can be successful and responsible in an evolving world.

A LONGSTANDING HISTORY WITH THE IBO
We have a wealth of experience teaching the IB Programme and can look back at a long-standing history with the International Baccalaureate Organisation. Back in 1976, we were one of the first schools in the world to offer the IB Diploma Programme. Fewer than 70 schools worldwide were authorised by the IBO at that time. Today, there are more than 4,000 IB World Schools.
Today ISD has a a non-selective and extensive course offering including the Primary Years Program (PYP), Middle Years Program (MYP), and the IB Diploma Program (DP).
